The PCP lab conducts research on psychological mechanisms and interventions to enhance the mental health and flourishing of diverse individuals and communities. We use various quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches based on the research question. Through these approaches, we develop scales to measure new constructs, study relationships between variables, and test or develop new theories in counseling and positive psychology. We also engage in intervention development, evaluation, and implementation to translate science into practice. We are also interested in interdisciplinary work with the arts and humanities and computer science.
